Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using VALET's two-driver transportation service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Service. These Terms apply to all users, including riders and drivers.

VALET is operated by Valet Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation headquartered in Greenville, North Carolina.

2. Service Description

VALET provides a unique two-driver transportation service where:

  • Two professional drivers arrive at your location
  • One driver operates your personal vehicle with you as a passenger
  • The second driver follows in a VALET support vehicle
  • Both you and your vehicle arrive safely at your destination

The Service is currently available in select areas and during specified operating hours. VALET reserves the right to modify service areas and hours at any time.

3. User Eligibility

To use VALET, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a valid email address and phone number
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Own or have authorized use of the vehicle being transported
  • Have valid vehicle registration and insurance

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to:

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities occurring under your account
  • Ensure your account information is accurate and current
  • Not share your account with others

5. Payment Terms

Pricing

Fares are calculated based on time and distance, with minimum fare requirements. Pricing may vary based on demand, time of day, and special events. You will receive an estimated fare before confirming your ride.

Payment Methods

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods as available. Payment is processed automatically at the end of your ride. You agree to pay all charges incurred through your use of the Service.

Additional Charges

You may be charged additional fees for:

  • Cancellations made after driver dispatch
  • Excessive wait time (beyond 5 minutes)
  • Cleaning fees for vehicle damage or excessive mess
  • Tolls and parking fees incurred during your ride

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, threaten, or harm drivers or other users
  • Damage VALET or driver property
  • Provide false information or impersonate another person
  • Transport illegal substances or weapons
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to circumvent the Service or payment system
  • Engage in discriminatory or offensive behavior

7. Vehicle Requirements

Your vehicle must meet the following requirements for VALET service:

  • Valid registration and insurance
  • Safe operating condition
  • Standard automatic or manual transmission
  • Functioning keys/fob with spare if required
  • No modifications that prevent normal operation

VALET reserves the right to refuse service for vehicles that do not meet safety standards or cannot be safely operated by our drivers.

8. Liability and Insurance

VALET Insurance Coverage

VALET maintains commercial insurance coverage for our drivers and operations. This coverage is supplemental to your personal auto insurance.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VALET SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VALET, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made before driver dispatch: No charge
  • Cancellations after driver dispatch: $10 cancellation fee
  • No-show (not present at pickup after 5 minutes): Full fare charge
  • Refunds for service issues will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the VALET Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, are the exclusive property of VALET or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

11. Dispute Resolution

Arbitration Agreement

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's Commercial Arbitration Rules.

Class Action Waiver

You agree that any arbitration or legal proceedings shall be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class action or representative action.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information.

13. Modifications to Service and Terms

VALET reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Delaware.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
